Our Story

Father, Dan, and daughter, Jessica, formed Webber Development & Construction in 2005 and have been thrilling homeowners ever since. They are the only Father/Daughter team in the area.

A licensed general contractor in the state of Georgia, Dan has extensive knowledge and experience in building and remodeling residential homes.

As the son of an electrical contractor, Dan’s childhood summers were spent working with his father in various capacities and learning practical life skills along the way. After graduating from Letourneau College with a degree in engineering, he began work with Westinghouse/ABB. After moving to Athens, Dan received his MBA from the University of Georgia.

After 16 years of corporate life, Dan decided it was time for a change and bought Floyd Cabinets, a struggling cabinet firm in Athens. With much hard work, building relationships and changing the name to The Cabinet Man, the business was able to stand alone. This allowed Dan the time to focus on other interests, building and remodeling. With competent employees at The Cabinet Man, it was a natural fit to move into the remodeling and construction business. After a fire in 2011, The Cabinet Man merged with Coleman Cabinets to form Webber Coleman Woodworks. Dan sold the business to Jessica Webber in 2020.

In 2005, Dan formed Webber Development and Construction with his daughter, Jessica, and they have enjoyed working with and satisfying clients since then.

When not working, Dan can be found on the golf course or traveling with Cindi, his wife of 34+ years

Jessica, also a licensed general contractor, is the only designer in the Athens, Madison and Lake Oconee areas to earn the designation of Associate Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer through the National Kitchen and Bath Association. An AKBD certification requires a comprehensive academic examination, continuing education and professional recommendations. Jessica was named to Professional Remodeler's 40 under 40 class of 2014. In 2017, Jessica was named a Coverings Rock Star and named to the 2017 40 under 40 list by Woodworking Network. Jessica also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Athens Technical College Interior Design Program.

Growing up, Jessica helped her parents as they built or remodeled several personal homes and rental properties. When she decided not to pursue a college degree, she turned her part time work at Webber Coleman Woodworks into full time work. Jessica handles all of the design and marketing details and is a great asset when working with women.

In 2005, Jessica formed Webber Development and Construction with her dad, Dan. She thrives on creative design solutions, satisfying the client, managing a seamless project, staying on or ahead of schedule and creating lasting relationships. Jessica also owns Webber Coleman Woodworks.

When not working, Jessica can be found playing tennis, traveling with her brother and sister and cooking.

FAQ's

How many years have you been in business?  We have been in business since 2005

Are you the same company as Webber Coleman Woodworks? No. We are a sister company, but a completely different entity with different owners. Remodeling requires different insurance and licensing standards.

Are you licensed? Yes, Dan Webber is a licensed Georgia Residential/Light Commercial contractor.

Are you insured? Yes, we are happy to provide you a copy of our insurance.

Do you have a list of references? Yes, we are happy to provide a list of highly satisfied clients who would be happy to talk with you.

How long have you worked with the subcontractors you use? We have worked with the same group of subcontractors for 6 or more years. We are proud of the people we get to work with and their excellent quality of work.

How long will this take? Most kitchen and bath remodels take 4-6 weeks from the time the first hammer is swung until the cleaning crew is finished. The scope of the project dictates the length and you will be given a detailed, day by day timeline showing each step.

How much dust will be generated? And how will you deal with it? The dustiest part of the project is during demo and the sheetrock phase. We will do our best to contain the dust by putting up plastic walls in doorways to adjacent rooms, covering the floors with a thick cardboard or plastic and covering light fixtures and blinds and shutters. We will also place a large exhaust fan in the window to pull dust out of the space.

Why can’t you start on my project today? In order for us to complete your project in a timely fashion, we ensure that all decisions and selections are made, ordered and in hand before the first hammer is swung. This allows the project to move along smoothly and quickly without any delays. Depending on the selections made and our other project timelines, this could be anywhere from 3-8 weeks from the time you accept our proposal.
